Pegasus Driver Selection Standard

- Age minimum: 24 yrs old
- Chargeable accidents in the last 3 years will be reviewed
- Moving violations: three
- NO DWI IN THE PAST 5 YEARS
- Verifiable work history
- 3-years over the road experience
- Licensed in the State the driver resides: must have only 1 license
- Dot Long Form Physical & a pre-employment drug screen will be done by a clinic designated by Pegasus
- Must furnish a copy of the title for tractor and trailer
- Provide proof of payment of Federal Highway Use Tax (either stamped copy of form 2290 or copy of canceled check front and back)
- Occupational Accident Insurance Coverage – Contractor must furnish Pegasus with a certificate of insurance naming Pegasus as certificate holder for all drivers – Pegasus has an insurance plan available.
- Bobtail Insurance with a minimum of $500,000 coverage and unlimited radius
- Driver must have a mobile phone for communication with dispatch
- Van drivers need Haz Mat endorsement on CDL

- Tractor must pass all DOT Requirements-will be required to pass inspection every 90 days

- 8 chains – 20’ long, hooks on both ends, 8 binders
- 15 straps – 15 winches
- 2 Steel tarps – 14’ x 24’ for hauling steel
- 8 coil racks for hauling steel coils and timbers
- 1 wallboard or lumber tarp with at least 6’ drops, if pulling your own trailer
- Headache Rack Required
